Angling expert Tim Holschlag has fished more smallmouth waters than any known angler, nearly 300 different rivers and over 100 lakes across North America. This includes tiny wading creeks to large rivers such as the Mississippi and Susquehanna. Lakes where he has pursued smallmouth range from prairie reservoirs in the Dakotas to bays of the Great Lakes.

A fulltime writer, guide and fly fishing instructor, Tim is the author of the popular books, Stream Smallmouth Fishing and Smallmouth Fly Fishing. He is also author of over 600 fishing articles published in a wide variety of outdoor magazines. Minnesota based, Tim Holschlag is nationally recognized for his encyclopedic knowledge of smallmouth bass. His presentations have educated and impressed audiences from Indianapolis to Los Angeles.

Besides his expertise with smallmouth bass, Tim avidly pursues and writes about fly fishing for northern pike, muskies, largemouth bass and other species. Recently, he spent 40 days on a 5,000-mile national tour, fishing smallmouth from the Atlantic to the Mississippi.
